This project centred around the installation of a Resin Bound Patio, not only rejuvenating a languishing space but also infusing it with a new lease of life, proving once again our commitment to excellence and innovation in outdoor design.
Transforming Plymouth Gardens: The Resin Bound Patio Revolution
Our journey began with the essential task of clearing the old and worn-out surfaces that marred the garden’s potential. Precision in excavation allowed us to remove all the outdated materials, paving the way for a fresh start. This meticulous preparation involved digging down to 165mm to ensure that no remnants of the past would interfere with the new vision we had for this space.
Central to this transformation was the installation of a custom-designed resin-bound surface. Our choice of colours and textures was not arbitrary; each was carefully selected to harmonise with the garden’s existing aesthetic, ensuring a seamless integration with the natural surroundings. The result was an inviting, cohesive outdoor area that beckoned for relaxation and enjoyment.
The installation process was detailed and thorough. After clearing the site, we installed new edging where necessary, providing a crisp, clean boundary that framed the garden beautifully. A solid foundation was laid with 100mm of compacted 803 stone, followed by 50mm of permeable concrete to ensure durability and sustainability. The finishing touch, a 15mm layer of resin-bound material in two contrasting colours with a striking border, added visual interest and practical functionality to the garden.
